Our client is a nationally recognized general contractor with a strong portfolio of large-scale commercial and mission-critical construction projects across the country.

Position Summary

A leading General Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead large-scale commercial and mission-critical construction projects, with a strong preference for candidates with data center construction experience.

The Senior Superintendent will have overall responsibility for field operations, project execution, safety, scheduling, quality, subcontractor coordination, and workforce management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing $100M+ projects and leading field teams of 15 or more personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for field operations on large-scale construction projects.

• Manage and coordinate 15+ field personnel, including superintendents, assistant superintendents, foremen, and other project staff.

• Lead construction activities from preconstruction through project completion and turnover.

• Oversee data center and other mission-critical construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to specifications.

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager and project team.

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and multiple trades to maintain project progress.

• Monitor daily field activities and identify potential schedule, Client, or material issues before they impact the project.

• Conduct regular site meetings and coordinate work between subcontractors and project teams.

• Maintain strict quality-control standards and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.

• Partner with the Safety team to maintain a strong jobsite safety culture and ensure compliance with company and OSHA requirements.

• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation to identify potential conflicts or constructability issues.

• Work closely with project management to develop recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule.

• Track Client, productivity, materials, equipment, and overall field performance.

• Participate in owner, architect, engineer, and subcontractor meetings.

• Assist with commissioning, closeout, punch-list activities, and project turnover.

• Mentor and develop field personnel and promote accountability across the project team.

Qualifications

• 8 10+ years of commercial construction experience, with significant field leadership experience.

• Proven experience as a Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent, or similar leadership role with a large general contractor.

• Data center / mission-critical construction experience strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience managing $100 million+ construction projects.

• Experience directly managing and coordinating a field team of 15+ personnel.

• Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and best practices.

• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades on complex projects.

• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, quality control, safety, and project documentation.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.

• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
