Job Description
Role: Senior System Engineer – Database Security Location: Richmond, VA Salary Range: $60 - $65 per hour Interview Process: 1 or 2 Rounds
Introduction
Join our team as a Senior System Engineer specializing in Database Security. This role involves managing and supporting database security measures across various environments, ensuring the integrity and security of our data systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in database security and Database Activity Monitoring (DAM).
- Previous Client Experience required.
- Background in database administration, preferably involving Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Teradata.
- Hands-on experience with Imperva Database Activity Monitoring is highly preferred.
- Understanding of database security policies, monitoring controls, and security baselines.
- Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with database activity monitoring tools similar to Imperva.
- Scripting or automation experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience troubleshooting database monitoring performance issues.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage and support the enterprise Imperva Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) platform.
- Monitor database activity, including logins, table activity, table drops, and other critical database operations.
- Develop, maintain, and standardize database security monitoring policies across enterprise environments.
