Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our tax team. This role is critical in meeting the compliance requirements for corporate income taxes and ensuring the integrity of the financial statement reporting of income tax. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting and corporate tax background, collaborative mindset, excellent attention to detail, and be able to execute a variety of tasks.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage the timely filing of income tax returns
- Assist with the quarterly income tax provision (ASC 740)
- Prepare the tax estimate and extension calculations and ensure timely payment of income taxes
- Support the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with the quarterly income tax forecast
- Assist with U.S., state and local income tax audit matters
- Perform tax research and planning
- Partner with external consultants on tax planning projects
- Assist with special tax projects as needed
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, federal, state and local tax laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with financial systems such as Workday or Alteryx
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
Years of Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in corporate tax accounting and analysis
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:
- n/a
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- International tax experience
Pay
This is a salaried position starting at $78,000.00 and pays up to $107,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
