We sell our products around the world through multiple channels with on-the-ground teams and offices in New York, the United Kingdom and Germany. As Mammoth Brands' revenue grows, so does the complexity of our business - we need an experienced tax professional to help build out and maintain all things tax at Mammoth Brands.

About the Role

As our Senior Tax Analyst, you'll be involved in a lot of exciting and impactful projects. You will play a key role in helping Mammoth Brands continue developing an internal tax function. You will help to coordinate with our 3rd party tax providers and financial statement auditors. You will be working extensively with the finance teams in each of our geographies, as well as many other departments across Mammoth Brands.

Here's what you'll accomplish:

  • Together with the Director of Tax, you will serve as a key member of the finance team in developing and implementing a robust tax function and processes
  • Assist with the quarterly and year-end tax provision and related tax journal entries in accordance with ASC 740
  • Coordinate the tax review and audit process with our external financial statement auditors
  • Coordinate with and help to manage our 3rd party tax providers ensuring that all tax related issues are identified, communicated and resolved in a timely manner
  • Assist with the development of effective and operationally sound tax strategies to reduce future tax burdens for each subsidiary and the consolidated company
  • Assist with transfer pricing, internal management fees, and intercompany agreements
  • Assist with the maintenance of a comprehensive list of required tax filings and help to review all tax compliance prepared by 3rd party tax providers
  • Perform guided research on various tax related topics, including federal, state, and international tax developments that impact Mammoth Brands
  • Internally consult with other departments regarding the tax impact of new products, acquisitions, significant transactions, etc.

These might describe you:

  • 2-4 years of experience at a public accounting firm and/or with a multi-national public company corporate tax department or high-growth start-up
  • A strong understanding of U.S. federal and state income tax and/or indirect tax matters
  • Familiarity with developing and executing tax planning and risk reduction strategies
  • Familiarity with implementing internal controls
  • Exposure to and understanding of international tax regulations is a plus
  • CPA and a Masters in Tax is a plus
  • A track record of successful team collaboration
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sense of humor -- we take our work seriously and ourselves un-seriously

Here's who you'll work with:

  • You will report to the Director of Tax in New York and the broader Global Finance team
  • You will also work cross functionally with other teams at Mammoth Brands and be viewed as a go-to resource for all things tax related

Benefits and perks

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401k match
  • Equity in Mammoth Brands
  • Flexible time off and working hours
  • L&D stipend
  • 4 weeks sabbatical after 5 years, 6 weeks after 10 years, and 8 weeks after 15 years
  • 20 fully paid weeks off for parents who give birth, or 16 fully paid weeks off for all other paths to parenthood
  • Fun IRL and virtual events including happy hours, team building events, and parties on our rooftop

The Mammoth Brands' working model is in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our beautiful 70,000 square foot SoHo office is decked out with bagels on Wednesdays and lunch on Thursdays, and fully stocked kitchens with snacks, coffee, and drinks everyday. Can't forget the free products and the opportunity to have some meetings without Zoom!

We can't quantify all of the intangible things we think you'll love about working at Mammoth Brands, like the exciting challenges we tackle, the smart and humble team you'll get to work with, and our supportive and inclusive culture. That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program.
