Job Description
Position Summary:
Assist in tax return preparation. Prepares and/or reviews tax depreciation calculations, state and local extensions and
Estimated payments, BUDGET/MTP and Year-End tax schedules and all related tax filings. Assist with all tax audits
And respond to tax notices.
Responsibilities of Position:
- Assist in Federal, State and Local tax return preparation.
- Prepare and / or review yearly calculation of Tax, State and ADS depreciation for all US TI Automotive entities.
- Prepare and assist in the calculation of the current and deferred tax positions and tax schedules for Year-End and BUDGET / MTP reporting.
- Assist in compiling information for Federal, state and local income, sales & use tax audits.
- Assist with tax advisory projects
- Preparation of Federal, state and local tax extensions and tax estimated payments.
- Assist in data gathering for FDII, BEAT, 5472s, 5471s and various other foreign reporting as needed.
- Preparation of all tax related filings including Form 1099s, Form 1042s, Report of Foreign Bank Accounts for all US TI Automotive entities.
- Respond to tax notices from federal, state & local tax authorities.
- Assist all US locations with sales & use tax exemption certificate.
- Perform tax research as necessary.
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Minimum five years of corporate Federal, state and local tax experience.
- Knowledgeable of tax and accounting rules related to Depreciation.
- Experience in tax research and proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
- Analytical / problem solving skills.
- Experience with Corptax, OneSource and OneStream a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Four-year university / college BA degree.
- Five years of corporate tax experience in public accounting or a private corporate tax department.
Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.
