This role will involve working on complex tax returns, including 1120S, S Corp, Federal & State Tax, Real Estate Tax, and Income Tax. You will also be responsible for tax accounting, state and local tax, tax preparation, and tax planning.Job DetailsResponsibilities:As a Senior Tax Associate, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns (1120S, S Corp, Federal & State Tax, Real Estate Tax, and Income Tax) for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Conducting multi-entity financial reviews and tax planning for clients.
- Providing tax accounting services, including state and local tax, tax preparation, and tax planning.
- Providing timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations.
- Building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise.
- Researching and consulting on various tax matters; utilizing tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters.
- Responding to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
- Identifying and mitigating tax risks.
- Coordinating tax work with accountants and auditors.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or other related fields.
- Strong experience in multi-entity, financial review, and tax planning.
- Proficiency in tax compliance and consulting services for the real estate industry.
- Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
- Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.
- Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Proficient in tax software and technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
