Senior Tax Associate - Denver, COTo Apply Now - email your resume to job-knemkq7d-1e4ngrk82rw3kdm@sagedata.ioWho: We are seeking a detail-oriented tax professional with at least 3 years of experience—preferably in public accounting—who communicates effectively and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.What: You will prepare and review tax returns, conduct technical tax research, support consulting projects, assist with ASC 740 tax provisions, and help mentor junior staff while managing multiple engagements.When: This is a full-time role available for immediate hire.Where: Based in our confidential client’s Denver, Colorado office.Why: This position offers the opportunity to work with a strong portfolio of manufacturing and distribution clients while expanding your tax expertise and contributing to a collaborative international practice.Office Environment: You’ll join a proactive, supportive team that values communication, accuracy, development, and high-quality client service.Salary: Base salary range is $75,000–$90,000/year, depending on skills, experience, and location.Position Overview:The Senior Tax Associate will manage diverse tax compliance projects, prepare Federal and state filings, support consulting engagements, guide junior staff, and maintain strong client communication to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.Key Responsibilities:- Prepare Federal and state corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.- Perform technical tax research on Federal, state, and international matters.- Conduct tax consulting projects such as nexus studies and permanent establishment analyses.- Assist with the preparation of ASC 740 income tax provisions.- Deliver high-quality services that exceed client expectations.- Maintain proactive communication with clients to manage expectations.- Prepare clear, concise workpapers and supporting documentation.- Delegate effectively by setting goals, allocating resources, and removing obstacles.- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff.- Collaborate with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development efforts.Required Skills & Experience:- Minimum 3 years of professional experience, preferably in public accounting.- BA/BS in Accounting or Master’s in Accounting/Taxation.- Excellent English communication, writing, and research skills.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-driven mindset.- Effective multitasking and organizational skills.- Positive, teamwork-oriented attitude.Preferred Skills & Experience:- CPA license or similar certification (preferred, not required).- German language skills a plus.- Experience in manufacturing and distribution.- CCH Axcess Tax experience.Benefits:- 401(k) plan with 3% employer-paid contribution.- Medical, paid dental, vision, life, disability, and AD&D insurance.- Flexible spending accounts.- 25 days of PTO for all full-time employees.- Paid holidays plus an additional post-4/15 holiday.- Flexible work arrangements.- Paid Day of Service annually.- Paid parking or public transportation reimbursement.- Mobile phone reimbursement.- Tuition reimbursement and training opportunities.- Paid CPA exam days and a monetary CPA exam passing bonus.If you’re interested in learning more about this opportunity or would like to discuss your qualifications, please apply now.
