Senior Tax Manager - Private Client Services

Location: Greenwich, CT

Overview

A global tax and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager for its private client services practice in Greenwich, Connecticut. You will oversee multiple engagement teams serving sophisticated clients, which may include wealthy families, family offices, owner-operated businesses, alternative investment fund principals and trusts.

Responsibilities

Engage in business development, including proposals, webinars and presenting comprehensive tax strategies to prospective and current clients
Maintain client communication to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines and stay current on legislative changes
Conduct primary and secondary review of complex federal and state tax returns
Draft technical tax memoranda
Supervise, train, mentor and evaluate associates and senior associates
Build knowledge of wealth transfer techniques, charitable giving strategies and buy/sell agreement planning

Qualifications

6+ years of relevant accounting firm experience, including at least 5 years of private client experience
Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field preferred
CPA or JD (credential allowing representation before the IRS) required
Self-starter able to succeed in a fast-paced environment
Proficient use of technology
