The Senior Technologist will investigate novel materials and engineering solutions for filled polymer materials for thermal and EMI management.
This position requires a background in engineering, chemistry, polymer composites, plastics, and materials science
Responsibilities
Use solid scientific principles to plan and conduct lab experiments, prepare samples, characterize materials, and understand composition and property relationships
Develop, formulate, and characterize new technically advanced materials per product development roadmap
Generate technical reports and project progress reports on a routine basis
Interface directly with material suppliers and equipment vendors to identify new materials and methods
Qualifications:
Hands on experience with formulation, processing equipment, and safety procedures
Experience and knowledge with a wide range of polymers and thermoplastics
Highly competent and comfortable working with many different machines, tools, and testing devices
Ability to work well in team environment
Highly motivated with hands-on approach to laboratory work
Degree in chemical engineering, plastics, materials science, or chemistry
2+ years relevant experience with polymer composite materials
