Job Description
The Role:
This position will report directly to the Assistant General Counsel and Director of Enterprise Trade Compliance. The ideal candidate has extremely strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and counsel related to the company’s international trade transactions and requirements.
- Collaborate daily with incumbent Trade Compliance Manager.
- Refine policies and procedures to facilitate compliant and efficient international trade operations.
- Conduct risk-based legal analyses of international trade issues.
- Liaison with US government regulators.
- Proactively partner with relevant company business leaders and stakeholders.
This position will have a secondary responsibility supporting the Compliance Director executing the company’s Compliance Plan, including:
- Supporting annual evaluation and risk assessments.
- Supporting quarterly Compliance Council products
- On-site compliance support to the company’s US-based operations.
- Supporting third-party representatives due diligence process; and day-to-day liaison with the Compliance Program Manager and Compliance Director.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor Law degree and 6 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- International Trade Compliance Experience
- Internal Investigation Experience
- Defense Industry and/or USG Experience
- Government Contracts Experience
- In-House Legal Experience
- Active Security Clearance
