Job Description
HumanHire has partnered with a prestigious mid-sized IP law firm in Chicago to find a Sr. Trademark Paralegal to join their growing team! The Sr. Trademark Paralegal will be responsible independently managing end-to-end U.S. and international trademark portfolios, overseeing filings, prosecution, docketing, and internet enforcement while collaborating directly with clients and attorneys.What's in it for you?

- U.S. & Foreign Trademark Filings: Manage the process and workflow of U.S. and foreign trademark filings, prosecution, renewals, and conflicts (including oppositions, cancellations, infringements, UDRPs, and counterfeits).*
- Trademark Prosecution: Manage trademark prosecution with the USPTO, including preparing new applications, drafting goods/services specifications, identifying and reviewing specimens of use, and preparing USPTO response submissions.*
- Internet Enforcement: Manage and assist with UDRPs and online brand enforcement.*
- Docketing & Deadlines: Monitor critical deadlines and maintain highly accurate records within the firms docketing systems.*
- Searches & Clearances: Support attorneys with full clearance searches, coordinate with third-party search vendors, and utilize databases like USPTO, WIPO Global Brand Database, and commercial search tools for preliminary knockout searches.*
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and support staff to drive process improvements, maintain quality control, and ensure a high standard of client service.
- 5-10 years of Trademark experience*
- Deep knowledge of U.S. trademark rules and procedures, alongside advanced proficiency with electronic legal research tools and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)*
- Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate preffered
