Job Description
Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and is primarily responsible for overseeing the administration and operations of agency programs. The Senior VP of Programs plays a critical role as a senior member in making executive decisions and contributing to organizational planning and development of strategic and operational goals. Must fulfill Epworth's mission, vision, and values. The Senior VP of Programs' direct reports include the Vice Presidents of Supportive Housing, Residential and Clinical Services, and Older Youth Services.

Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all program strategies, service delivery, as well as overall quality and improvement initiatives
This role requires strong acumen in strategic planning, developing and managing budgets with program leaders, and ensuring delivery of services is optimal and follows best practices for sustainability
Build and cultivate a high-performing senior leadership team and play an active role in attracting, retaining, and developing the team, cultivating a collaborative and cohesive culture.
Develop and translate strategic and tactical business plans into operational plans as they relate to the responsibilities of the Personnel and Performance Department.
Serve as a strategic partner with a perspective on the impact on people.
Formulate and maintain a complementary relationship with the Governance Board.
Provide support in the development of the program and organizational goals
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance while mitigating and redirecting gaps in performance and processes
Collaborate with the VPs and program leaders to identify program and employee professional development/training needs and establish goals.
Provide exceptional leadership in meeting agency accreditation, licensing, and funder expectations as it relates to personnel, safety, and quality initiatives and program data analysis.
Manage and make necessary adjustments to expenditures, income, and grant compliance as it relates to reimbursements and grant spend-down by strategically forecasting and monitoring the utilization of grant funds monthly.
Collaborate with Accounting, Development, Programs, and other departments to ensure expenses are approved and processed in a timely manner for reimbursements.
In collaboration with Human Resources, lead agency-wide efforts related to employee engagement and satisfaction.
In conjunction with Human Resources, develop and review progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives, and rewards for effective performance as well as for market comparisons.
Ensure and enforce effective and compliant policies and procedures, and provide direct reports with professional and personal growth opportunities.
Manage and role model agency rules, policies, and procedures, including attendance, program/department-specific procedures, code of conduct, social media, workplace safety, training requirements, and confidentiality.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position supervises the Vice Presidents of Supportive Housing, Residential and Clinical Services, and Older Youth Services.
Salary: $118,000
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables and to synthesize information consistent with the organizational strategy and mission.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as financial reports, program dashboards, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to public groups and /or the board of directors.
Computer Skills: Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively, which includes regularly scheduled and unplanned site visits that may require immediate action for expedited resolution and action plans.
Work Environment: Most of the work for this position is performed under normal office conditions.
