Job Description

This is a part-time position offering a schedule from 3:30pm-7:30pm. Every other weekend is required.
Starting pay is $17 / hour!

The Server will deliver and serve meals to residents, families and guests in an efficient, attentive and courteous manner to achieve an overall gracious dining experience. A variety of tasks may be performed to keep the dining area operating in an organized and efficient manner. A willingness to work with the elderly population is essential for this role.

The Server will:

Serve resident meals in a friendly and professional manner.
Understand the daily menu through active participation in the pre-meal meeting.
Effectively communicate information to residents regarding flavor, availability, presentation and preparation of meals.
Complete all side work assignments and prepare for shift.
Follow procedures to assure that dining room(s) and service stations are organized and sanitary at all times.
Put resident service first. Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights.
Perform all other duties as requested.

Education Requirements:

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be Serv-Safe certified, or willing to obtain certification upon acceptance of employment offer.
Prefer experience within senior living or healthcare environments, must be sensitive to needs of senior population.
