Rioja is seeking skilled and innovative bartenders/servers to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment that fosters learning and growth. We are searching for a quick, composed, and refined individual with excellent communication skills. A professional appearance and demeanor are mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must have a keen eye for detail and organization.
Contributes to daily, holiday, and themed drink menus in collaboration with the supervisor.
Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. Maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.
Must have a general understanding of professional kitchen sanitation protocol.
Must be willing to learn and adapt to situations and procedural changes as decided by the management
Greeting and seating guests
Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the POS system
Making menu item recommendations
Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately
Guarantee patrons an exceptional dining experience by providing attentive service.
Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary
Performing cleaning duties; keeping a clean service station and polished dining area

Skills and Qualifications:

Employment requires at least 2 years of fine dining experience and minimum of 3 professional references
Excellent customer service and a friendly demeanor
Exceptional organization and time management
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper food handling procedures
Wine Knowledge a must (wine certification preferred)
Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Willing to work full-time with day, night, and weekend availability.
Physically able to be on their feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
