Responsibilities
- Receiving payment for service transactions
- Close service repair orders once vehicle is picked up
- Reconcile credit card payments every evening, and prepare deposit
- Balance cash drawer daily
- Know how to use CDK Drive to process service repair orders, look up repair orders, ect.
- Maintaining or creating customer satisfaction
- Greeting customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner
- Computing customer bills
- Receiving cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; recording amount received
- Accepting deposits, completing payments for extending warranties, and handling other purchases
- Ringing up sales, bagging items, requesting price checks, honoring coupons, collecting payment, and giving appropriate change
- Updating the customer's service history
- Calculating materials charges, repair charges, and taxes
- Understanding various types of warranties
- Furnishing information about the dealership and its services and vehicles
- Communicating clearly and courteously, and accurately relaying information about prices, vehicles, and services.
- Answer incoming calls to the service department
