We are currently looking for a Service Desk Analyst II for our Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Service Desk Analyst is the first point of contact between end users and the IT Organization. The analyst is responsible for recording the details of reported IT service issues, service requests and working to either restore service as quickly as possible or alerting and/or escalating them to the appropriate next level support groups. This position requires technical troubleshooting abilities, excellent customer service, written, and oral skills. Job role is required to participate in 24/7 On-Call rotation.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years minimum in-depth, hands-on support role on IT Service Desk or customer support environmentExperience in working with desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphonesKnowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (OS) and Office suiteWorking knowledge of Service Desk software and remote-control toolsStrong customer service orientation and communication skillsTroubleshooting and multi-tasking skillsSolid written and verbal communication skillsExperience with incident tracking softwareAbility to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive informationOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience supporting the latest versions of Windows Client OS and Microsoft Office SuitesExperience with Freshservice Incident managementExperience providing Mobile device supportWorking knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory & AzureFamiliarity with the Energy industry
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Associate's degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study or equivalent experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Administration or demonstrated equivalent experience
