Job Title: Data Center Service EngineerLocation: Laramie, WY (Onsite)

About the Role

We are hiring a Data Center Service Engineer to provide onsite technical support for enterprise server infrastructure in a mission-critical data center environment. This position is ideal for professionals with experience in server hardware, break/fix support, and enterprise systems maintenance. The engineer will work directly with customers and internal teams to ensure maximum system availability and timely issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Install, diagnose, maintain, and repair enterprise server hardware in a data center environment.
Perform hardware replacements and upgrades, including processors (CPU), memory (RAM), storage drives, GPUs, power supplies, and other server components.
Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, BIOS, operating system, and system performance issues.
Execute preventive maintenance activities and respond to hardware incidents following established operational procedures.
Record service activities, update support documentation, and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and support after-hours maintenance when required.
Deliver a high level of customer service while working in an enterprise production environment.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience supporting enterprise servers, data center operations, field service, or infrastructure support.
Hands-on experience with rack servers, blade servers, and enterprise hardware platforms.
Experience replacing and troubleshooting server components, including CPUs, DIMMs, SSD/HDDs, RAID controllers, GPUs, NICs, and power supplies.
Working knowledge of Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) or other server operating systems.
Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and hardware repair skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with customers.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Willingness to work onsite and participate in an on-call support rotation.
