We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage and lead our service department, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. The Permanent Service Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and quality of our services while also promoting a positive and productive work environment. This role is instrumental in driving the success of our business and is ideal for someone with a passion for leadership, customer service, and the trucking/automobile industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assigning and scheduling jobs to team members based on their skills and workload, ensuring efficient and timely completion of tasks.
- Overseeing the progress of jobs, regularly monitoring and reporting on their status to both the team and customers.
- Providing excellent customer service, addressing and resolving customer queries, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Implementing strategies to improve service quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Collaborating with other departments to optimize service operations and achieve business objectives.
- Conducting regular team meetings, providing feedback, and implementing training programs to enhance team skills and performance.
- Managing and maintaining service records, reports, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a service management role within the trucking/automobile industry.
- Proven experience in assigning jobs, managing progress, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of leading and motivating teams to meet and exceed performance goals.
- Solid understanding of the trucking/automobile industry, including its operations, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Proficiency in using service management software and other relevant computer applications.
- High level of organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining high service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Relevant professional certification or degree is a plus.
