JobOverview
TheServiceManagerisresponsibleforoverseeingthedailyoperationsofthetrailerrepairservicedepartment,ensuringhigh-qualityrepairandmaintenanceservices,anddeliveringexceptionalcustomersatisfaction.Thisroleinvolvesmanagingateamoftechnicians,coordinatingserviceschedules,handlingcustomerinquiries,andmaintainingoperationalefficiency.
ResponsibilitiesandDuties
- Supervise, mentor,andevaluateservicetechniciansandsupportstaff.
- Scheduleandassigntaskstoensureefficientworkflowandtimelycompletionofrepairs.
- Conductregulartraininganddevelopmentsessionstoenhanceteamskillsandknowledge.
- Serveas theprimarypointofcontactforcustomersregardingserviceinquiries,repairstatus,andconcerns.
- Addressandresolvecustomercomplaintsandissuespromptlyandprofessionally.
- Developandmaintainstrongcustomerrelationshipstofosterrepeatbusinessandreferrals.
- OverseedailyoperationsoftheTrailerandDeiselrepairdivisions,includingworkflowmanagement,partsinventory,andequipmentmaintenance.
- Ensureadherencetosafetystandards,companypolicies,andindustryregulations.
- Monitorandcontrolservicedepartmentbudgets,includinglaborcostsandinventoryexpenses.
- Implementandmaintainqualitycontrolprocessestoensurerepairsmeetcompanystandardsandcustomerexpectations.
- Conductregularinspectionsofcompletedworktoverifyqualityandaccuracy.
- Developandenforcebestpracticesforrepairproceduresandservicedelivery.
- Prepareandmanageservicereports,includingworkorders,servicelogs,andperformancemetrics.
- Analyzeservicedata toidentifytrends,areasforimprovement,andopportunitiesforefficiency.
- Coordinatewithotherdepartments,suchassalesandparts, tosupportoverallbusinessoperations.
- Staycurrentwithindustrytrends,technologicaladvancements,andbestpracticesintrailerrepairandmaintenance.
- Providetechnicalsupportandguidancetotechniciansasneeded.
- Troubleshootandresolvecomplexrepairissuesandensureproperdiagnosticproceduresarefollowed.
SkillsandQualifications
- Education:Highschooldiploma orequivalent; relevanttechnicalcertificationsorassociatedegreeinautomotiveormechanicalengineeringpreferred.
- Experience:Minimumof5yearsofexperienceintrailerrepairor arelatedfield,withatleast5yearsin asupervisoryormanagerialrole.
- Strongleadershipandteammanagementabilities.
- Excellentcustomerserviceandcommunicationskills.
- Proficiencyindiagnostictoolsandrepairtechniquesfortrailers.
- Solidunderstandingofsafetystandardsandindustryregulations.
- Strongorganizationalandproblem-solvingskills.
- Abilitytomanagemultipletasksandprioritiesin afast-pacedenvironment.
