Lead a Service Team. Build a Stronger Operation.
Sanco Equipment is looking for a Service Manager to lead our Stewartville service department.
As an authorized Bobcat and XCMG dealer, we support equipment ranging from compact construction machines to heavy excavators and wheel loaders.
We’re looking for someone who knows how a successful shop should operate—someone who can lead technicians, keep work moving, take care of customers, and drive department performance.
This isn't a desk-only management position. You'll be involved in the day-to-day operation of the shop, working directly with technicians, customers, Parts, and management.
If you're currently a Service Manager, Shop Foreman, Lead Technician, or experienced equipment technician ready to take the next step into leadership, we'd like to talk.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop the Rochester service team.
- Manage daily shop and field-service workflow.
- Schedule and prioritize repairs to keep technicians productive and jobs moving.
- Monitor productivity, efficiency, work in process, and overall department performance.
- Review estimates and repair recommendations.
- Communicate with customers throughout the repair process.
- Support warranty and preventive maintenance work.
- Help recruit, train, and develop technicians.
- Maintain a safe, organized, professional service operation.
- Take ownership of the department's customer experience and financial performance.
What We're Looking For
Equipment industry experience is preferred, but we'll also consider candidates with strong service experience from the automotive, truck, agricultural, powersports, or related industries.
We're looking for someone who:
- Understands technicians, shop workflow, and equipment repair.
- Can effectively lead people and set clear expectations.
- Knows how to prioritize work in a busy service environment.
- Understands labor, estimates, repair orders, and service department profitability.
- Communicates well with technicians and customers.
- Is comfortable using service and dealership management software.
- Takes ownership, solves problems, and follows through.
