Primary Purpose of this position:
Install, startup and commission commercial/industrial HVAC equipment.
Specific Job Duties:
Follow and adhere to all company safety requirements and processes
Install per manufacturer specifications and company policies:
Manual dampers and supporting hardware
Flex and sheet metal ductwork and associated duct fittings in light commercial and residential buildings
Copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering
HVAC related equipment including split systems and roof top units up to 20 tons
Design/draw necessary duct fittings in the field to facilitate installation
Wire both low and line voltage to cooling and heating equipment
Pre-measure jobs to determine material required for installation
Receive material and equipment required for each job, confirm accuracy and transport to job site
Ensure proper installation of gas line connections to heating equipment
Complete readings on machines and take necessary steps based on readings
Accurately complete required job documentation in a timely manner
Work with other team members and departments to meet job/project deadlines and specifications
Formal education, certifications and/or experience required:
- Must hold a Universal Refrigerant Certificate or be willing to obtain
- 1-3 years' experience of HVAC Installation
Other Requirements:
- Punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to work on a team and interact with people
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various HVAC equipment
- Must have the ability to travel to job sites
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy
