Job Description

Betten Honda is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles while delivering exceptional service. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and identify potential issues.
Communicate findings and repair recommendations to service advisors.
Follow manufacturer specifications and dealership procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards.
Keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used.
Participate in training programs and stay updated on new technologies and repair procedures.
Assist in maintaining shop equipment and tools in good working condition.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training a plus.
ASE Certification(s) preferred or willingness to obtain.
Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive technician (dealership experience preferred).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must be a team player and customer-focused.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, or squatting.
Manual dexterity to operate hand tools and repair equipment.
