We're hiring a Service Technician in Richland, NE to install, maintain and repair irrigation systems while providing outstanding customer service. - Position: Service Technician
- Location: Richland, NE
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday Friday
- Hours: 8: 00 AM 5: 00 PM (flexibility required)
- Pay: Starting at $18.00/hour DOE
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain irrigation and sprinkler systems
- Install and replace sprinkler heads, valves, pumps, control panels and irrigation lines
- Perform seasonal spring start-ups and winterizations
- Test systems for proper operation, timing and efficiency
- Read blueprints, schematics and installation drawings
- Operate trenching equipment, digging tools and other landscape equipment
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies
- Document completed work using mobile software and collect customer payments
- Keep your service vehicle clean, organized and properly stocked
- Educate customers on water-efficient products and recommend solutions that fit their needs and budget
- Assist with snow removal and general shop maintenance as needed
- Participate in an on-call rotation during the snow removal season
- Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service
- Experience with irrigation systems is preferred, but related mechanical or maintenance experience is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Good math, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to safely operate trenching machines, digging equipment and power tools
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Commitment to working safely and efficiently
- Flexibility to respond during the 24/7 on-call snow removal season
- Full-time, year-round employment
