Job Description
Responsibilities:
Learn and assist with daily in-house plastic fabrication.Read and work from drawings, schematics, and job specs.Perform metal and plastic fabrication and welding, including:
PVC, CPVC, PP, PVDFStainless steel and carbon steel
Assist with in-field plastic repairs and installation.Work with materials containing or in proximity to hazardous chemicals.Troubleshoot equipment and system issues.Ensure compliance with health, safety, laws, regulations, and best practices.Travel to customer sites throughout New EnglandMaintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe job site
Requirements:
Experience working in industrial or process environmentsHands-on knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Chemical process pipingIndustrial electrical systemsMetal welding and fabrication- TIG/MIGPlastic welding and fabricationIndustrial water or wastewater treatment systems
Ability to read and follow instructions and work as part of a teamStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsBasic computer and writing skills for job reporting and communicationAbility to read and understand drawings and technical documentsFlexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight jobs.Willingness and ability to meet deadlines.
Additional but not required
Trade school, certifications, or formal training in welding, electrical, or plumbingOSHA or other safety certifications
Physical Requirements
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of the week are Monday- Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.Ability to lift, carry, and handle tools, materials, and equipment approx.. 60 lbs.Comfortable working in industrial environments, including standing, climbing, working flat rooftops, and confined spaces
This job operates in a service shop environment both on company and customer site locations. This role routinely uses hand and power tools as well as office equipment such as laptop computers, and smartphones.
Must pass standard drug screening and background check

Travel will be local within New England

Required License and certifications
Demonstrated mechanical work experience service-based organization preferred.Associate degree, technical certification, or post-secondary certificate in related discipline is preferred.Must have a valid, unexpired driver's license.Good driving record.
