Job Description
SUMMARY
This is a skills-based growth opportunity for an individual with an interest in learning to become a certified diesel technician.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with all company policies, local work, and safety rules, as well as federal, state, and local regulations that govern the Federal Registered Apprentice Program.
Perform the required training coursework and/or computer-based training which is pre-designed to move trainees through to obtaining a course completion certificate, recognized by the US Federal Government within the following areas:
Diesel Engine Repair, Drive Systems, Fuel & Electrical Systems, Steering & Brake Systems, Chassis & Springs, Cooling & Lubrication Systems, Hydraulics and Welding, Computer Diagnostics & Software, and Safety & Business Communications.
Participate in all training programs; maintain and update safety skills and knowledge; keep current with hazardous material training requirements.
Communicate clearly with program mentors and perform duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism within the company and the industry.
