Service Technician Mechanical

FieldBridge is looking for a Mechanical Service Technician in Prudhoe Bay, AK to work for the world's largest oilfield service company. We offer weekly pay + benefits.

Pay is $28–$32/hr | 12.5-hr Day Shifts | 3x3 Rotation Schedule | Weekly Pay Every Friday | OT Opportunity Available | At $32/hr and 50 hrs/week for example, earn weekly paychecks of approximately $1,760 gross

Position Overview

This role is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of rotating and process equipment — including centrifuges, pumps, grinding mills, and filtration press systems. The ideal candidate is a mechanically skilled, safety-focused technician with field experience and the ability to mentor less experienced personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on centrifuges, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, grinding mills, and filtration press van systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues including vibration, imbalance, pressure/flow problems, and performance failures; implement effective field solutions.
• Verify and adjust equipment set points, conduct inspections, and identify potential failures proactively before they escalate.
• Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment; validate system controls, instrumentation, and performance targets.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, parts inventory, and equipment history; coordinate with procurement to ensure critical spares availability.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to operators and junior technicians on proper operation, maintenance, and safety practices.

Required Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of centrifuge operation, VFDs, bearing inspection, and performance troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with centrifugal and positive displacement pump maintenance including mechanical seals, shaft/bearing replacement, and alignment.
• Experience with grinding mill equipment (ball mills, SAG mills, or vertical mills) including liners, gear/pinion inspection, and mill parameter adjustment.
• Familiarity with mobile filtration press van operation, filter cloth/plate replacement, hydraulic systems, and dewatering cycle optimization.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings.
