Job Description

Setup CNC Machinist

Join a growing precision manufacturing team where your setup skills have a direct impact on production, quality, and continuous improvement. We are seeking an experienced Setup CNC Machinist who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and keeping production running efficiently.

What You'll Do

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining centers to maximize machine utilization.

Read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment to produce high-quality parts.

Identify and resolve machining, tooling, and quality issues while minimizing downtime.

Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine setups to support efficient production.

Collaborate with engineers, programmers, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and help implement standardized, repeatable processes.

Train and mentor machine operators on setup changes, best practices, and production improvements.

Complete production documentation and maintain a safe, organized work area.

What We're Looking For

Two or more years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical training in CNC machining or equivalent hands-on experience.

Ability to read blueprints and understand machining specifications.

Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.

Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, offsets, and machine adjustments.

Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.

Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience with GD&T is a plus.
