BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community are strongly encouraged to apply.Pay Range: $49,000-$51,000Unionized Position: NoJob Summary: The Shelter Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to Cornerstone’s Emergency Shelter program. This role works closely with the Emergency Services Manager and shelter advocacy team to ensure smooth day-to-day program operations and consistent support for staff serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking.The Shelter Coordinator helps maintain program organization, documentation, scheduling, and data tracking while supporting a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment for participants and staff. This position plays a key role in helping the shelter team stay organized, responsive, and effective in delivering services. This position also maintains strong partnerships with community providers and systems partners.Hours/Schedule:Sunday-Thursday, 4pm-12am. This role requires a flexible schedule with a primary focus on evenings and weekends. Includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule to support after-hours staff, coaching, and crisis coverage. Additional coverage may be required during emergencies, disasters, or major public awareness events.Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in administrative coordination, program support, or direct service; shelter, housing, or social services experience preferred.
- Experience working with individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, homelessness, or other crises preferred.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and multitasking skills.
- Experience working with diverse and underserved communities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual/multilingual a plus.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed, survivor-centered, harm reduction, and Housing First approaches.
- Experience with databases or documentation systems (Apricot or similar preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle required.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the Emergency Services Manager and shelter team.
- Maintain staff schedules and assist with shift coverage coordination.
- Support onboarding logistics for new staff, volunteers, and interns.
- Prepare internal communications, meeting materials, and program documentation.
- Maintain program supplies, forms, and shared resources.
- Maintain accurate program documentation and assist with audits and compliance tracking.
- Enter and maintain data in Apricot and other systems.
- Assist with data quality checks, file organization, and documentation reviews.
- Support tracking of program metrics and preparation of reports.
- Provide operational support to advocates to ensure smooth shelter operations.
- Assist with participant resources, referrals, and program materials.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming shelter environment.
- Provide backup support during high-demand periods or emergencies.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and program improvement efforts.
- Communicate with internal teams to support coordinated services for participants.
- Complete other duties as assigned to support shelter operations and services to survivors.
