Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
Job Summary:We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Manager to lead our dynamic team in delivering exceptional service and operational excellence in a fast-paced food service environment. As a Shift Manager, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and foster a positive team atmosphere. Your leadership will drive efficiency, customer satisfaction, and staff development, making every shift smooth and successful. Duties:
- Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Lead, motivate, and train staff on food preparation, customer service, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety protocols.
- Oversee food handling, cooking processes, and food production to maintain consistency and compliance with health standards.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and perform cash handling duties with integrity.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all areas of the restaurant.
- Support staff training initiatives, including interviewing new team members and providing ongoing development opportunities.
- Assist with budgeting, labor scheduling, and overall restaurant management to optimize operational efficiency.
- Address customer concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment that promotes safety and efficiency.
Skills:
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a quick service or fast food restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in restaurant or hospitality management roles.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and develop team members effectively.
- Familiarity with inventory control techniques and food safety standards.
- Experience managing kitchen operations, food production, catering, or banquet services preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Strong communication skills for interviewing candidates, team management, and customer interactions.
- Knowledge of budgeting principles related to food service management and labor costs.
- Hospitality management background with experience in casual dining or hotel food services is advantageous.
