Job Title: Shipping Assistant

Job Grade: Hourly

Responsibilities:

Physically prepare items for shipment, wrap and band per company standards & or CSIs.
Determine method of shipment by checking the shipping notes and order routing.
Assist with receiving and shipping defective products.
Accurate record retention for incoming and outgoing shipments.
Assist with organizing stock, stage for loading and unloading trucks to maximize efficiency.
Keep an organized and neat warehouse.
Assist in weekly cycle counting of inventory.
Will function as backup to receiving clerk but not limited to other shipping areas.

Candidate Profile:

This position requires a self-motivated individual who communicates and influences with credibility and confidence.
This position requires an individual who can make a quick decision based on the facts given.
This individual should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to pay attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal, time management skills and a proven track record as a team player are also required.
Must have a strong forklift operating background.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma / Equivalent
5 years of related job experience including inventory reconciliation.
Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications (is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of related job experience
Demonstrated use of problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills (is a plus)
Team oriented and past success working as a cross functional team member (is a plus)
