Job Description

This position is responsible for the transaction, receipt and shipment of goods foreign and domestic and maintaining accurate documentation on all transactions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Must be able to update order entry system with current shipments, and prepare packing lists along with C of C's with each statement.
Must be able to receive material into the ERP system against open purchase orders and communicate receiving issues to escalation paths.
Maintains an inventory of all required shipping materials.
Prepares purchase requisitions for supplies as needed.
Performs special packaging to insure delivery of a protected quality product.
Responsible for keeping shelves stocked with various supplies at all times.
Follows established safety procedures and reports.
This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
May be required to cross train in other departments.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
May be required to pick up and deliver materials and/or product to customer or supplier locations in company vehicle.

Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related Shipping experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.
Ability to work with limited supervision, multi task in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills a plus- Microsoft Office-Outlook/Word/Excel-Typing and/or Data Entry skills desired.
Valid driver’s license
