Job Description
The shipping and receiving personnel will perform all daily operations in the department to ensure policies and procedures are followed. They will assist the Shipping and Receiving Manager to develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. They will see the entire process of travel of company property in its entirety.
Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Responsibilities
Get daily releases from Manager, use Plexus as a tool to locate correct material based off size, grade, age and status.
Stage material in correct loading location, tally and enter into Plexus ensuring correct material was pulled and loaded
Responsible for following color-coding system to prevent product not ready from shipping
Work with Heat Treat personnel to determine pile locations of bar stock for Heat Treat
Be responsible for product quality and on time shipping
Building maintenance including keeping workstation clean and presentable
Visually inspect all material coming in and going out to be correct
Monitor operations and alert Manager to trigger corrective actions
Share a trusting relationship with all Managers and quality personnel to create a good work environment
Assist Manager in Inventory Control to make certain stock is rotated correctly
Commit to plant safety procedures
Computer literacy
Be accountable and work hand in hand with shipping crew members, Heat Treat and quality crew members
Strong decision making and people skills
Be courteous with all visiting guests, truck drivers and vendors
RequirementsWarehouse Experience
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to sit while working on a computer for short periods of time
Must be able to position the body to reach items on the floor/below knee level or reach overhead
Noise level in the work environment can be moderately loud
Must be able to operate in a hot environment for long periods of time
Must be able to perform physical labor for short periods of time
Lift up to 50 pounds
