Job Description
We're hiring for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a manufacturing facility in Durant, MS.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, parts, and supplies; verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming products for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues as needed.
- Unload, move, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pull parts according to work orders, customer orders, or production requirements.
- Pack products and materials securely for shipment.
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and bills of lading.
- Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and transportation providers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, work orders, and packing lists.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience.
- Experience using inventory management, ERP, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Forklift certification or prior experience operating material-handling equipment.
- Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment.
- Work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
