Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is seeking a Shipping and Packaging Specialist in Gulfport, MS.Key Responsibilities
- Review incoming orders and determine the best packaging and shipping method*
- Package smaller items for carriers such as UPS and FedEx*
- Build custom crates for large or sensitive equipment*
- Prepare, label, and document outgoing shipments, including photos when needed*
- Coordinate freight shipments and communicate with carriers*
- Complete shipping documentation, including international shipments*
- Use QuickBooks and Microsoft Office tools*
- Work closely with production and inventory teams to ensure orders are ready
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mindset*
- Ability to use tools and build/customize crates or packaging*
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple shipments*
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality*
- Willingness to learn shipping, freight, and logistics processes
- Experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations*
- Freight or international shipping experience is a plus*
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience*
- Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained)
