Shipping Manager – High Volume Fulfillment Pharmacy (Over 60,000 Orders Daily)

Job Summary:We are a rapidly growing telemedicine fulfillment pharmacy handling over 60,000 prescriptions daily for the Miami and Fort Lauderdale, FL areas. We’re seeking an experienced, high-performing Shipping Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment and brings with them the rigor, innovation, and precision of a Fortune 500 production or logistics operation.This role is ideal for a data-driven leader with a deep understanding of logistics workflows, distribution efficiency, and team performance management — someone who can build, train, and lead high-functioning shipping teams that consistently exceed throughput expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

   Full ownership of daily shipping operations — ensuring 100% of orders leave on time, in full, every day.Lead, coach, and scale a best-in-class shipping team (techs, supervisors, support) with a military-like attention to detail and discipline.

   Oversee integration and optimization of shipping software, hardware (scanners, sorters, printers), and platforms (FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.).Build and maintain real-time dashboards and KPI trackers for throughput, order accuracy, daily volume, and error rates.

   Identify process gaps and rapidly implement lean improvements to reduce waste, increase speed, and maintain regulatory compliance.Collaborate with Fulfillment and Pharmacy Ops teams to optimize packaging, staging, and cut-off workflows.

   Champion accountability: daily huddles, performance reviews, corrective action plans, and incentive tracking.

Qualifications:

Has 5+ years of experience managing high-volume shipping/logistics (ideally 25,000+ packages/day).

   Comes from a production, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing background.Expertise in managing KPIs, SLAs, throughput, cost per shipment, takt time, and cycle time fluently.

    Capable of using and optimizing our in-house software stack and/or introducing external tools to improve visibility, scheduling, and output.Leads with energy, clarity, and high standards — knows how to get buy-in from their team and drive continuous improvement.     Preferred Experience:    Background in industrial engineering, logistics, or operations managementPrior exposure to regulated environments (e.g., pharmacy, medical, food, automotive)Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Agile principles

Job Type: Full-timeExpected Hours: 44 hours per week• Core Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM• Flexibility Required: Occasional evening or weekend oversight during volume spikes, carrier delays, or special projects.• Must be available during carrier cutoff times (typically 5:00–7:00 PM) to ensure on-time dispatch.• This is 100% on-site leadership role – presence on the floor is essential for team coordination, quality control, and throughput monitoring.
