Position Summary:
The Shop Helper will be responsible for ensuring parts are available, moving materials between workstations, and general assistance to welders. Must work independently and as a team as required to achieve production, quality, and quantity goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- At all times safety is a top priority while performing any part of your job.
- Execute instructions given by department Supervisor and/or Lead.
- Observes operation of machines to develop understanding.
- Assist supervisor/lead by loading jobs to the specified location.
- Establish a cordial and professional relationship with fellow employees.
- Assist other employees with day-to-day tasks as needed.
- Understand and follow the proper workflow of assigned jobs.
- Transport completed work to the next department.
- Obtain and maintain forklift certification.
- Obtain and maintain overhead crane certification.
- Complete monthly tool calibration as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
