Shop Technician (Construction Equipment)
$2,000 Sign-On Bonus
Position Overview

With the training and support we provide, Shop Technicians play a critical role in maintaining our reputation for quality, reliability, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble heavy equipment
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on construction equipment
- Assist with shipping and receiving, including unloading trucks and verifying deliveries
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and light maintenance tasks
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move parts and components safely
- Inspect components to determine reusability or replacement needs; order parts as required
- Utilize diagnostic and testing equipment to troubleshoot and adjust machinery
- Complete warranty reports and provide recommendations
- Perform minor welding, fabrication, and alignment work
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs)
- Support other shop functions as needed based on workload
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Basic math and computer/data entry skills
- General mechanical knowledge required
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
- Dependable, reliable, and safety-focused
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent walking, standing, and working on uneven terrain
- Regular lifting of 50+ pounds
- Use of hands and arms to operate tools and equipment
- Climbing in and out of heavy equipment
- Ability to work in various positions, including kneeling and lying under equipment
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
- Communication via radio, phone, and in-person
- Ability to hear and identify mechanical issues in a shop environment
