About the role:
As a Shop Technician II in the Instrumentation and Control area, you will assemble, troubleshoot, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electronics. You will use hand tools, power tools, and a soldering iron. You will be responsible for multiple assignments to support electrical/I&C/mechanical assembly, repair, testing, and refurbishment of equipment, components, or tooling systems. Additionally, you will perform electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections and will provide routine work on production or maintenance job procedures and operations.
You will report to the Assistant Area Manager for I&CE Operations and be located at our New Stanton, PA facility. This is an anchor position that is required on site 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehend semi-complex mechanical and/or electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints, Bills of Material and procedures. Data must be recorded accurately.
- Apply knowledge of advanced electronic theory and components.
- Operate electrical/electronic test equipment and interpret results.
- Plan, lay out, assemble or fabricate mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
- Coach, train, or mentor others at an equal or lower level of position.
- Team with planners and supervisor to develop schedules with resource milestones and budget goals for order/project.
- Develop, maintain, and modify equipment maintenance and mobilization plans.
- Exercise and promote team building skills with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers, and other departments.
- Follow up quickly and consistently to bring issues to closure.
- Proactively resolve problems and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ year of relevant experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Qualification and certification for Inspection to ANSI N45.2.6 preferred.
US Department of Labor Journeyman certifications preferred.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $56,268.91 to $82,725.61 per year.
