Job Title: Shop Technician• Location: Las Cruces, NM• Job Type: Full-Time• Salary Range: $18 to $25 depending on experience
Job Summary: Sonsray Agriculture is seeking a motivated and skilled Shop Technician to join our Las Cruces team. This role is responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on CASE agriculture equipment and related machinery in a shop environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting abilities, and experience working on agricultural or heavy equipment systems.
We are looking for a dependable technician who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship while maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced dealership environment.
What You'll Do:
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on CASE agriculture equipment and related machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, transmission, and engine-related issues
- Complete structural repairs and welding as needed
- Conduct inspections and identify equipment issues accurately and efficiently
- Complete service documentation and repair reports using basic computer systems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Safely operate hand, pneumatic, and electric tools and equipment
- Follow OEM repair procedures and dealership safety standards
- Collaborate with team members and management to support overall shop operations
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support dealership objectives
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of experience servicing and repairing agricultural or heavy equipment required
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Welding and structural repair experience highly preferred
- Strong computer skills for documentation, job tracking, and service reporting
- Well-organized with the ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with OEM repair procedures and shop safety practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Preferred to have own tools
