Title: SIS Project Coordinator (Consultant)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Compensation: Market rate; based on qualifications, resume, and earning history.

Contract type: 1099 (independent contractor)

What You'll Do

This role is as much about people and communication as it is about systems. You'll be the connective tissue between vendors, leadership, and end users-keeping workstreams aligned, informed, and moving forward.

  • Lead recurring project meetings and working sessions; publish agendas, notes, decisions, and action items.
  • Provide clear weekly status updates to leadership and stakeholders (progress, risks, decisions needed, and next steps).
  • Track risks, issues, and dependencies across teams; escalate appropriately and drive timely resolution.
  • Support change management and adoption by coordinating communications, training plans, and readiness activities.
  • Coordinate tenant provisioning and environment setup (production and, as needed, sandbox).
  • Support system configuration and workflow alignment with College stakeholders.
  • Coordinate data migration support (templates, validation, imports, and reconciliation).
  • Coordinate integration and testing (where applicable).
  • Plan and support end-user training sessions across departments (live sessions).
  • Support go-live planning and execution.
  • Coordinate post-go-live stabilization (four weeks) with weekly check-ins.
  • Align internal engineering/technical support resources during deployment.

For SIS implementations, the project typically includes approximately 200 structured tasks across 17 milestones, spanning discovery, configuration, data validation, training, and launch readiness.

Platforms in Scope

  • Student Information System (SIS): Anthology moving to New SIS platform
  • Learning Management System (LMS): Moodle moving to Brightspace
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP): Great Plains moving to Microsoft Business Central

How to Apply

Please apply with your resume and a brief summary of your relevant SIS/ERP/LMS migration experience, including the systems you have implemented and your role in go-live support.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • ERP/SIS migration experience: demonstrated success transitioning institutions from legacy systems (e.g., Anthology) to modern cloud-based environments.

  • Vendor management: proven ability to manage SaaS vendor relationships, scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Exceptional communication and people-management skills: able to facilitate meetings, align cross-functional stakeholders, manage expectations, and drive adoption through change.
