Position Purpose
Carries the administrative load of hiring and running the site's workforce in a rural labor market, so operating leaders are not doing it between shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Run site recruiting, including sourcing, scheduling, background checks, drug screens and physicals.
- Onboard new hires, including orientation, badging, personal protective equipment issue and system access.
- Administer timekeeping, shift differentials, overtime and payroll input for hourly staff.
- Support benefits enrollment, leave administration and employee relations matters.
- Maintain personnel records, training records and compliance documentation.
- Manage site administration, including reception, visitor control, travel and office services.
- Build relationships with local colleges, workforce boards and community organizations to develop the hiring pipeline.
Required Qualifications
- Five or more years in human resources or site administration, ideally in manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of Texas and federal employment law basics.
- High volume hourly recruiting experience.
- Discretion and sound judgment with confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- PHR or SHRM CP certification.
- Existing network in the regional industrial labor market.
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
