Role Overview

The Site Project Manager serves as a on-site leader for our SAP S4/HANA deployment, acting as the critical bridge between the central program team and local site leadership.

This role contributes to driving site readiness, alignment, and execution across all phases of the SAP Activate methodology, ensuring that business operations, stakeholders, and end users are prepared for transformation.

The Site Project Manager plays a key role in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and light Organizational Change Management (OCM)activities to enable successful adoption and minimize disruption during deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Site Leadership & Alignment

  • Serve as the liaison between the SAP program team and site leadership.
  • Partner closely with the Site Head and functional leaders to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, logistics and expectations.
  • Represent site interests within the broader program while reinforcing program governance and standards locally.

Project Execution & Coordination

  • Drive site-level project planning, tracking, and execution in alignment with SAP Activate phases.
  • Manage and monitor site deliverables, milestones, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Utilize tools such as Smartsheet and Microsoft 365 to ensure transparent and accurate project tracking.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and help resolve issues impacting site readiness.

Organizational Change Management (OCM) & Communication

  • Support and execute OCM activities aligned with PROSCI / ADKAR principles, including:
    • Coordinating and distributing site communications
    • Reinforcing awareness, understanding, and engagement at the site level
  • Potentially update communication channels (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Enable stakeholder readiness by supporting engagement activities, workshops, and leadership alignment sessions.
  • Act as a change advocate, reinforcing the “why” behind the transformation.

Meeting & Governance Management

  • Lead and facilitate site project meetings, workshops, and governance forums.
  • Ensure clear documentation of decisions, actions, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain strong communication flow between site and program teams.

Site Readiness & Deployment Support

  • Support key milestones, including:
    • Business workshops
    • Testing cycles 
    • Training delivery
    • Go-live and hypercare
  • Act as the “eyes and ears” of the program at the site, providing real-time insight into readiness and risks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, preferably within Automotive, SAP, ERP, or large-scale transformation programs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with SAP implementations and/or SAP Activate methodology is a plus.
  • Experience using Smartsheet and Smartsheet Dashboards is a plus.
  • Experience supporting or participating in Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities is a plus.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and project tools:
    • Smartsheet, MS project, Agile, etc.
    • SharePoint
    • Microsoft Office / Teams
  • Highly proactive, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Automotive industry experience is a plus.
