On great job sites, safety isn't a binder on a shelf — it's a culture, and someone has to lead it. Our client, one of the Southwest's largest and most respected general contractors with a 50-year track record and projects exceeding $100M, is hiring a Site Safety and Health Officer for their Denver-area operations. You'll be the safety authority in the field: running inspections and orientations, leading incident investigations, managing OSHA interactions, and building the kind of site culture where everyone goes home whole.
Why You'll Love It

- Values-driven culture: A relationship-first contractor known for integrity and taking care of its people
- Full benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) with match, parental leave, PTO, paid holidays, disability and supplemental coverage
What You'll Do
- Conduct onsite safety inspections, safety orientations, and accident investigations
- Supervise employee training on safety policies, procedures, and regulations

- Manage OSHA inspection participation — documentation, walk-throughs, corrective measures
- Advise the safety administration team on projects, operations, and incidents
- Attend kickoff meetings with project staff and subcontractor reps to define the safety program
- Research new regulations and recommend program improvements
- Control hazardous conditions and unsafe practices through site visits, safety plans, and supervisor education
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years in general construction with an emphasis on construction/industrial safety
- Strong command of OSHA and federal, state, and local regulations
- BCSP certification preferred; electrical experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills across all levels, from field crews to executives
- Solid verbal, written, and presentation skills; Microsoft Office proficiency
- Comfort working from a job trailer on active construction sites
