Job Description
- Oversee daily site safety for removal, repair, and replacement of air handlers and footings.
- Conduct jobsite safety orientation and provide ongoing, task-specific safety training.
- Lead safety meetings and maintain documentation (agendas, minutes, attendance).
- Perform daily safety inspections and log findings.
- Investigate incidents and submit required reports.
- Maintain OSHA 300 logs and daily production reports for all contractors.
- Ensure compliance with Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
- Maintain hazardous chemical inventory and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Attend project and safety coordination meetings.
- Maintain all applicable safety documentation on-site.
- Enforce all safety and health standards in accordance with project and federal requirements.
- EM 385-1-1 certification (Required)
- 3–5 years’ experience as an SSHO on federal/government construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EM 385-1-1 standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple safety responsibilities on site.
