Bgesh is looking for a Federal Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction projects. The project superintendent should possess strong leadership skills, a strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and in compliance with safety regulations.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a clear background and can obtain a security clearance to work on a military installation or government facility on a construction project in the federal domain.
Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction which includes 5 years as a superintendent.
Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding technical drawings.
Valid OSHA certification (OSHA 30 preferred)
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience supporting government or federally funded projects preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously
Willingness and ability to travel regularly
Proficiency with project management and reporting tools
Valid driver’s license
Capable of reading, writing and conversing fluently in the English language and has excellent verbal and written communication skills to be used for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
Familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
Familiar with OSHA regulations and have a commitment to maintaining safety standards on-site.
Required to sit; walk or stand; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; and bend at waist.
Occasionally required to climb unassisted while carrying up to 40 pounds; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds unassisted.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED

Must be onsite during project hours.
Ensure the requirements of 29 CFR 1926.16 and EM 385-1-1 are met.
Provide effective communication of schedule with project manager and government representatives.
Develops and maintains a complete understanding of the contract documents.
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors to facilitate the project schedule.
Manage on-site safety and conditions.
Collaborates with project manager daily via email and telephone.
Supervises daily construction activities to manage on-site personnel and meet project milestones.
Oversees delivery of tools and materials.
