Job Description

At REGENT, we're on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation between coastal cities. We're not just building vehicles, we're creating a new category of transportation: the seaglider. These groundbreaking wing-in-ground-effect craft travel just above the water's surface, combining the speed of an airplane with the low operating costs of a boat. Capable of 180 miles at 180 mph on today's battery tech (and up to 400 miles with next-gen batteries), seagliders will unlock fast, affordable, and sustainable coastal transit for passengers and cargo - connecting cities, islands, and communities like never before.

Backed by leading investors and powered by a team of passionate, forward-thinking engineers, builders, and operators, we're now scaling from a breakthrough prototype to full production - and building the team to make it happen.

Role Overview

REGENT Defense is the business unit within REGENT focused on our efforts in the defense market, including business development, contract proposal, capture, and execution; international engagement; and capability development.

As a member of the Mission Assurance team, you'll be working with our partners across the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and international Ministries of Defense to define and deliver incredible maritime capability. Specifically, you will plan and execute multiple reports, demonstrations, and exercises for U.S. and international defense and government stakeholders. You will manage multiple defense contract deliverables, ensuring high quality, on-time delivery of key contractual reports, demonstrations, and analyses.

Furthermore, as part of the Mission Assurance Team, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to oversee and implement compliance programs, including financial and regulatory reporting, safety management systems, facility clearance procedures, and site security protocols, in accordance with government and contractual requirements. Additionally, you will work with the REGENT engineering team and other cross-functional teams to drive capabilities that meet the mission needs of defense customers, ensuring the effective and efficient design, testing, evaluation, and development of specific requirements. REGENT Defense is committed to fielding maritime capability to safeguard our allies, deter our adversaries, and ultimately bring the warfighter home.

As part of REGENT Defense, you'll be joining a group of driven, collaborative, and talented

professionals who take pride in solving complex challenges and making an impact as a team. We hold a high bar for our rigor and our collective ability to move quickly, think boldly, and rely on our teamwork to push boundaries and bring entirely new technology into the world.

If you're energized by working at the intersection of cutting-edge innovation, real-world

impact, and hands-on technology development, you'll be in the right place - and we'd be thrilled to have you on the team!

What You'll Do

  • Contract & Program Management

  • Collaborate to develop, plan, and execute contract deliverable reports simultaneously across multiple defense contracts

  • Finalize and execute newly captured contract opportunities, working across business development, legal, intellectual property, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless value delivery to customers

  • Manage deliverable schedules, coordinate internal reviews, and ensure on-time submission of high-quality reports, demonstrations, and analyses in accordance with contractual terms

  • Support proposal development efforts by contributing technical content, coordinating inputs from engineering teams, and ensuring compliance

with solicitation requirements

  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and oversee the implementation of government compliance programs, keeping up to date with changes to the federal contractor requirements

  • Collaborate with the IT department to implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols in accordance with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and other DoD requirements

  • Work with the finance and accounting team to develop and submit financial compliance reports, including SF-1408, DCAA audits, and cost accounting standards, as required.

  • Partner with the test team to ensure proper documentation, verification, and validation of performance requirements for government stakeholders

  • Spearhead the security clearance program, including continued authorization to handle CUI documents and the future ability to handle classified material.

  • Technical Coordination & Requirements Management

  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including performance, test, structures, and manufacturing engineers; test crews and other personnel to translate mission requirements into engineering and performance-based deliverables

  • Support the definition and decomposition of government requirements across the vehicle system and subsystems

  • Assist in the coordination of technical reviews, design reviews, and customer demonstrations

  • Track and manage technical action items, risks, and issues affecting program delivery

  • Continuously evaluate, refine, and improve designs based on test data and real-world feedback from defense operations

  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with government customers, program offices, and contracting officers

  • Represent REGENT at customer meetings, site visits, and industry events

  • Prepare briefing materials and presentations for senior government and military leadership

  • Coordinate logistics for demonstrations, exercises, and operational

assessments

What You'll Bring

  • Separating or retiring members of the U.S. military who are ready to be a part of a high-paced startup building the future of maritime defense capability

  • Grit, determination, and a bias for action

  • A willingness to do what needs to be done, represent REGENT with integrity, and build the future of maritime defense capability
