Position Summary:

Responsibilities of this summer seasonal position include preparing and serving hot and cold food, beverages, and prepackaged snacks, candies; cleaning and sanitizing food service equipment and kitchen area, and operating a cash register.

Hours will vary based on candidate availability, department needs, and weather.

Examples of Work Performed:

The following duties are typical of this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned.

  • Prepare and serve all food and beverage items in accordance with established menu, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Operate a cash register and accurately process cash, credit, and other approved transactions.
  • Operate food service equipment and vend food and beverages to the public.
  • Clean and sanitize all food preparation areas, cooking and serving utensils, and equipment, including specialty machines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report needed supplies to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Properly use and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines and department procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concession area and associated workspaces.
  • Provide courteous and efficient customer service to patrons.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 14 years of age- Work Permit required for 14 or 15 year olds.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform varied tasks to completion without immediate supervision.
  • The ability to provide written work communication such as daily inventory sheets, equipment, maintenance requests, time sheets, incident reports etc as needed.

Compensation:

Starting hourly rate for Snack Bar Attendant is $9.75 year one, $10.00 year two, and $10.25 year three. This is a seasonal position and there are no benefits.

Moderate Physical Requirements- Job requires a combination of desk work and some physical activity.
