Position Overview
The Social Media & Influencer Marketing Intern will support Simple Modern's social media, creator, and influencer marketing efforts throughout the summer. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, highly organized, interested in social media and digital marketing, and excited to gain hands-on experience working with a fast-paced consumer brand.
The intern will work alongside the Social Media and Influencer Marketing team on a variety of projects, with responsibilities evolving based on current campaigns, launches, and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of social media content across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and other emerging channels
- Assist with brainstorming, creating, filming, and organizing social-first content
- Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, trending sounds, creators, and relevant cultural moments
- Support TikTok Shop initiatives, including creator and affiliate programs, product sampling, and content opportunities
- Assist with influencer and creator gifting, including identifying potential partners, coordinating product selections, and supporting shipments
- Help research and identify creators who align with Simple Modern's brand and target audiences
- Support influencer campaigns, product launches, PR initiatives, and other marketing projects as needed
- Assist with organizing creator and campaign information, tracking deliverables, and maintaining internal resources
- Provide general support to the Social Media and Influencer Marketing teams based on seasonal priorities and business needs
- Bring new ideas, trends, and creative inspiration to the team
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field
- Strong interest in social media, content creation, influencer marketing, and digital culture
- Familiarity with platforms such as TikTok and Instagram
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects
- Creative thinker who enjoys identifying trends and generating new ideas
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience creating social content is a plus, but not required
