Social Media Intern

Reports To: Katie McLoughlin (Social Media Lead), Jordan Kimmel (Content Lead), and Guido Tebano (Business Development)

Location: Remote

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week

Compensation: $250 /weekAbout the Role

MMM is a marketing agency built for dental, veterinary, and legal practices across the country. We're looking for a Social Media Intern who wants real, hands-on experience running social media for client accounts, editing short-form video, and learning what actually performs on TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn. You will work directly with our social media, content, and business development teams, get exposure to how an agency runs client social from the ground up, and have the opportunity to grow into a full-time Social Media Coordinator role.

What You'll Do

• Schedule approved content and graphics in Buffer for client accounts, making sure posts go out on time and in the right format for each platform.
• Help build out content calendars for clients alongside the Social Media Lead, keeping posts aligned with each client's blog content, service pages, and current campaigns.
• Edit raw video footage into short-form clips for TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Support TikTok strategy and posting, including content for MMM leadership's professional accounts.
• Submit and track design requests in Asana and follow up with the creative team to keep projects on schedule.
• Draft social captions using Claude AI, then edit them to match each client's tone, voice, and platform.
• Support client approvals, including sending drafts for review and updating them based on feedback.
• Help maintain a running list of social media best practices, including ideal video length, formatting, and current platform trends.
• Assist with onboarding new social clients, including setting up new accounts in Buffer.

What You'll Need

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Genuine interest in TikTok and short-form video. You know what's working right now or you're excited to learn.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to adjust tone across different brands.
• Comfortable picking up new tools and software quickly.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines at once.
• Open to feedback and direction, especially in the first few months.
• Reliable internet access and a quiet workspace, as this is a remote role.

Nice to Have

• Experience with basic video editing tools such as CapCut or Premiere Rush.
• A personal or brand social account you've grown yourself.
• Spanish language skills.
• Interest in health care, dental, veterinary, or legal marketing. No prior experience in these industries is required.

Growth Path

This is a paid internship with the potential to convert to a full-time Social Media Coordinator role based on performance. Interns who show strong ownership, creativity, and consistency will be considered first for the full-time opening.
