Internship Overview
VPSA is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Management Intern to help strengthen our online presence and showcase the people, culture, events, community involvement, and services that make Valor unique.
This is a college-credit internship. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university and must be able to receive academic credit for the internship through their school.
Responsibilities
- Assist with managing VPSA social media platforms and content calendars
- Create engaging posts, captions, stories, and other social media content
- Highlight VPSA employees, company culture, events, recruiting initiatives, community outreach, and company accomplishments
- Assist with photography and video content at events and company activities
- Research relevant social media trends and content ideas
- Help develop campaigns that increase engagement and awareness of the VPSA brand
- Monitor comments, messages, and audience engagement
- Track basic social media performance and engagement metrics
- Collaborate with HR, Operations, Recruiting, and Leadership to identify content opportunities
- Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and professionalism across social media platforms
- Assist with other marketing and communications projects as needed
Requirements
Ideal Candidate
- Currently enrolled in a college or university
- Must be eligible to receive college credit for the internship
- Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Digital Media, or related major preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative and comfortable developing new content ideas
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Canva, or similar platforms
- Organized and able to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a team
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable representing a growing company
Internship Requirement: This position is unpaid and offered for college credit only. Applicants must confirm that their college or university will approve the internship for academic credit and provide any required documentation.
